Film Language Tag: double dolly shot
A visual signature in many of Spike Lee's films, the double dolly shot is created by putting both the camera and the actor on dollies (either the same one or on two separate dollies). The dolly (or dollies) then move the camera and the actor through the set at the same pace to create the illusion of the character moving through space as the background glides past.
