After a health scare, Marji (Chiara Mastroianni) returns to her family in Tehran. Her parents (Catherine Deneuve and Simon Abkarian) tell her of the post-war reality. Her grandmother (Danielle Darrieux) updates her on the family gossip. She is visited by many relatives.
