Film Language Tag: plot

The story; the sequence of events and all the devices that move the story from one scene to another as they are arranged by the writer or editor in an audiovisual work; the narrative structure of the story as it is played out on screen, which may or may not be chronological. For example, the plot of Christopher Nolan's Memento (2000) plays out the story in reverse chronological order. Only after the movie ends, can one reconstruct the story that was told. Kroon, R. W.
