Film Language Tag: zoom-out

Reversing the action of a zoom-in so that objects that appear close initially are distanced and reframed as small figures. To differentiate from a dolly out, one must consider the spatial relationship of the shot. A zoom-out is simply the minimization of an image and thus does not alter the spatial relationship of the shot.
