Film Language Tag: dolly out
To use a dolly to move the camera away from a subject. This changes the shot composition from a closer shot to a wider shot. Considered more elegant than a zoom out. Changes the physical distance of the camera from the subject and thus alters the spatial relationship of the shot. Also known as a track-out.
